Project Focus: North Africa
We help refugee families awaiting resettlement by educating their children and helping prepare them for life in a new country. Students learn English in a caring environment where they can feel safe, make friends, and develop important skills. Many have had little or no opportunity to attend school, so we provide a structured place to learn, grow, and build confidence.
We teach values such as respect and kindness, healthy ways to resolve conflict, and basic hygiene. Our school works with relevant NGOs to provide scholarships to families who cannot afford tuition. Whether a child has never attended school and needs basic reading and writing skills, or has previously attended regularly, we adapt to meet each student’s needs.
We also provide field trips for new cultural experiences and counseling services for children who have experienced trauma.
